Led by Whitecaps FC Academy Centre Technical Director Mike Ayyash and supported by Soccer Nova Scotia, the Halifax ‘Caps 2 College program prepares players for college and university soccer, guided by Whitecaps FC coaching staff and supported by Whitecaps FC Manager of Collegiate Transition Ryan Clark. The program consists of twice weekly training that is supplemental to club training and commitments, competitive games against university and local teams, scholarship strategy planning and entry into the Whitecaps FC Showcase in Vancouver. The training methodology and tactical principles are based on the Whitecaps FC Game Model and the Whitecaps Way, a national curriculum for player development.
