Vancouver Whitecaps FC are built on a European Club model with one of the most unique and integrated soccer development structures in North America. From grassroots programs to professional teams, the club model reaches nearly 35,000 participants annually.

  • Men’s MLS Team. Players aspire to reach and play for the Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer (MLS)
  • Development Squad: An extension of the First Team, bridging the club’s top academy prospects and MLS roster

> Boys MLS Academy and Girls Elite Academy
  • Boys MLS Academy U15 to U18. A full-time, funded academy designed to maximize potential by linking technical, personal development and education. U-15, U-16, U-18 teams play in the new MLS Elite Youth Development League and are connected to the development squad.
  • Girls Elite Academy U15 to U18.  Whitecaps FC, BC Soccer, and Canada Soccer have partnered to deliver a full-time funded Super REX (Regional EXCEL).  Top prospects across Canada attend school, train, and play together on a pathway to national teams, and scholastic opportunities.
> BMO Academy Centres
  • In BC, Centres are part of the local pathway supporting selection to the BCSPL (BC Soccer Premier League), in addition to Whitecaps programs.
  • Outside BC.  Centre staff identify and develop young talent, providing a gateway of opportunities to scholarships, national teams, and professional soccer, including full time academy programs in Vancouver.
  • Caps to College . Select centres are supported by college transition experts providing specialized training, scholarship planning and Showcase events.
> Network Partners
  • Network Partners.  Provides clubs and associations across Canada with the opportunity to team up with the Whitecaps to grow and develop their soccer operations, including technical services, insider access and pathway opportunities.  Join the Whitecaps professional club network.
> Provincial Partnership
  • In BC, the Whitecaps are development partners with BC Soccer working together on program alignment including the BC Soccer partnership of the Girls Rex program. Players in BC are supported by identification through the BC Soccer Premier League and BC Soccer Provincial Program.
  • Outside of BC,  the Whitecaps High Performance BMO Academy centres are in partnership with provincial associations supporting the development and identification of local players on a pathway to Vancouver full time programs, scholarships and national teams.
  • Camps.
  • From community to skills, to prospects camps, overnight and speciality camps, Whitecaps camps offer players of all levels the opportunity to be developed, identified and have fun.
