Birth Year: 2012
What his coaches say: Owen has been brilliant all season and I am proud to announce him as the April Player of the Month! Owen is an all-around excellent player who demonstrates strong technical ability, speed/ agility, finishing, as well as great character. He comes into every session with a great attititude, excited to train and looks to make an impact in all that he does. Owen is an exciting young player who is showing lots of what we look for in a Whitecaps players. Keep up the good work Owen, well done!

Name: Noah Howell
Birth Year: 2010
What his coaches say: Noah recently took part in the Premier Showcase in Vancouver over Easter Weekend where he performed extremely well. Noah played two age groups up and was among the standouts of the event, earning praise from coaches across our network. Coaches admire Noah’s tenacity when defending, and his ability to calmly play out of tough situations and remain steady even when things get dicey. All credit to the work Noah puts in in training sessions, and the effort and intensity he competes with. Well done Noah!

Name: Cristobal Jacob
Birth Year: 2006
What his coaches say: Cris recently moved here from Chile and has been a standout player in our Caps to College program. This past weekend Cris took part in our Whitecaps Showcase and performed exceptionally well. Cris fought hard in midfield and found moments to be creative and express himself as a player. All credit due to the work Cris has put in as a leader in the group who demands the best out of his teammates. Well done, Cris, very well deserved!

Birth Year: 2007
What his coaches say: We are thrilled to select Nico as the April Player of the Month. Nico has shown a consistently high level in all 4 corners of development since he joined our program a few years ago. Since then he has continued to grow in his ability to influence a match. He is someone with very high character showing a very high level of maturity. This past month, Nico showed very well in 3 tough matches at the Whitecaps Academy Showcase, earning him a funded trial with the MLS Academy. Congratulations on being selected as the April Player of the Month.
Name: Rebecca McDow
Birth Year: 2008
What her coaches say: Rebecca had a great season with the Nova Scotia Girls Prospects program. A composed player with excellent vision, Rebecca can play in Centre Midfield or at Centre Back. She is a strong defender and helps the team connect passes and progress the ball. She is also an excellent trainer, always positive and very coachable. She had consistent performances throughout the year and capped it off with a great showing at the Whitecaps Showcase in Vancouver. Great job Rebecca
Kelowna
Name: Ana Marini
Birth Year: 2009
What her coaches say: Ana joined our partner club, Kelowna City FC, almost 2 years ago and is part of the 09/10 Girls team. She has shown great consistency and effort in sessions, always ready to work hard and focus on learning. Ana is very strong on 1×1 attacking, having a powerful right-foot shot as her main characteristic as a player. On top of that, Ana has shown a great attitude in training towards her teammates and coaches, being a strong leader in her team. Well done, Ana! Keep up the hard work! Hope you have a great season with us!

What her coaches say: Amaya is a keen learner and a wonderful addition to the environment. We enjoy seeing Amaya try new techniques and work on how she can be effective in manipulating the ball. She comes with a keen attitude to do her best and push her development. Amaya has been asked to trial the age group up for the Spring sessions, as we see the hard work she is putting in to become a better player and we would like to support her continuing to challenge herself. Keep taking steps forward, Amaya!
